Fort Fisher North Carolina, one of my favorite spots to visit each summer! When I was little, my dad would take us there to walk the battle grounds there right by the shore and to tell us all about the history there. My dad loved walking Fort Fisher and looking at the dunes there that were built for soldiers to hide from the enemy. There was also a man that lived there, they called him The Hermit. Look up his story and see how he lived and touched peoples lives. People came from all over just to see him or get a glimpse of him.
I made this art print in honor of my dad and his love of history and our yearly trips to the beach!
